We work directly with your insurance carrier to ensure your coverage. Mental Health Parity laws require insurance policies to treat mental health issues in the same manner as physical issues. We will provide you with all of the information you require for your peace of mind in knowing that treatment at Tapestry is fully accessible. We are in-network with AetnaCignaBeech Street, Crescent, Accordia/Wells Fargo, and Kanahwha TPA SpecificWe are now in-network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NC for Standard and PPO*, and are also working with financing agencies to assist those without adequate health insurance. Obviously, the length of stay will play a large part in determining cost. The length of the residential treatment program is a minimum of six weeks to six months. After twenty days the resident will decide, with the help of her therapist, how much longer beyond the six weeks her stay needs to be.

newTapestry is very excited to announce a partnership with Serenity Loans, a self-pay financing solution for those who are uninsured and underinsured. While Tapestry is among the lowest cost and most innovative Eating Disorder Treatment Provider in the United States, it still requires a significant overhead to fund the many clinicians, maintain the home, and ensure the operation of our multifaceted treatment approach. We know this cost can be prohibitive, but Serenity Loans now provides an excellent opportunity to become a part of the Tapestry healing experience without the frustration and letdown can be an unfortunate aspect and irony of being protected by health insurance. Please see the Serenity Loans website for more information- when you are ready to apply, please click here.

In addition to this option, we are also pleased to be associated with a new non-profit organization created specifically for eating disordered women who are un- or under-insured. Project HEAL was started by three Tapestry Alumni in eating disorder recovery, and accepts donations from individuals and agencies to assist inpatient applicants with program costs. Scholarships will be offered via a nomination process.

Space permitting, potential applicants may request a single room, instead of a double. If the resident chooses a single room, and if there is space available, the resident will be charged for the additional cost of the single room.

A two week notice is required prior to the end of the following months in order to receive a prorated refund, should you decide to leave prior to the end of the month that is paid for. It is the policy of Tapestry that the first six weeks of treatment is non-refundable should the resident decide to leave the program early, or if she receives an Administrative Discharge due to non-compliance. Non-compliance with treatment includes, but is not limited to: refusal of recommended medical treatment, threatening behaviors toward staff or residents, intoxication, or continued non-compliance with protocols. These behaviors will result in Administrative Discharge and forfeiture of remaining balance of payment.

*If your BCBS plan doesn't offer residential benefits, we are licensed as a Partial Hospitalization Program and we can file your claim. All you would need to cover is a small room and board fee.

North Carolina residents: The Mental Health Parity Act of 2008 mandates that all private insurance companies cover Anorexia and Bulimia with the same consideration as any other covered medical condition (NCGS § 58-3 --220, (c) (8) & (9)). This entitles you to be covered for inpatient Eating Disorder Treatment. Please contact us for more information.
